Only Natural Pet Glucosamine and Asta

A Powerful Joint Supporting Compound and Powerful Antioxidant (Article)

Your active or aging pet has extra strain placed on their joints, and providing the right joint support formula can make all the difference in their quality of life. Pet health experts know that the body’s supply of glucosamine, an important amino acid found in all connective tissue, can diminish as our pets age.

Less glucosamine means less joint support capability, resulting in further aches & discomfort in your pet’s joints. Glucosamine can help restore this essential joint component, and most veterinarians agree it’s the most fundamental of joint support ingredients. But contemporary research has also found that free radical damage can play a significant role in joint deterioration. In response to these findings, the newest joint support products available include antioxidants to take advantage of their free radical fighting properties, which can reduce oxidative damage to joint tissues.

Only Natural Pet Glucosamine + Asta delivers a focused approach to maintaining your pet’s joint health with the power of joint-building glucosamine plus the fast-acting synergy of super-antioxidant, astaxanthin. While not nearly as well-known as some other carotenoids in its family, like beta-carotene and lutein, this powerhouse health co-factor is causing a lot of excitement in the field of antioxidant research.

Derived from marine algae cultivated in the waters around Hawaii, astaxanthin has antioxidant properties found to be over 500 times stronger than Vitamin E in some studies, with an accelerated ability to destroy the free radicals at the root of many joint wear-and-tear problems. Astaxanthin also has the ability to support normal immune response in auto-immune reactive conditions, as well as its ability to help the joints and muscles recover after exercise.

Other research on Astaxanthin has demonstrated its unique ability to cross the blood-brain barrier and deliver its antioxidant effects throughout the central nervous system. Astaxanthin has been found to be better absorbed by the body than other antioxidants, and to support the body’s skin and eyes against the sun’s UV rays. It is demonstrating promise in the areas of cardiovascular health and has shown potential in supporting healthy blood sugar regulation in diabetic patients.

Take your pet’s joint support to the next level with the proven value of glucosamine combined with the cutting edge advantage of astaxanthin. When you give Glucosamine + Asta to your companion, you can stay one step ahead of your pet’s joint issues while supporting their overall wellness. This is a great, fast-acting formula for older cats and dogs starting to show signs of joint stiffness, and for highly active, working or athletic animals of any age.

This product was made in an FDA-approved facility using human-grade ingredients.

Top 10 Reasons Your Pet May Be Itching

By Dr. Jean Hofve, Veterinarian Advisor for Only Natural Pet

Itching, and the scratching, biting, and licking that goes with it, is one of the most common health problems in dogs and cats. Frequent head-shaking, scratching, rubbing, chewing, or licking some area of skin (including ears) means there’s a problem with itching, technically called “pruritis.” Left untreated, itchy skin can be damaged by the pet’s scratching, rubbing, or licking, which may lead to “hot spots” (areas of oozing, dry or inflamed skin), as well as secondary infections. Finding out what is causing the itch, and resolving that cause, is essential to your pet’s quality of life.

Itchy Dog

In very general terms, itchy-skin problems in pets fall into just a few main categories: poor nutrition, infections, parasites, and allergies are the major players; but endocrine diseases, primary skin disorders, neoplasia (cancer), autoimmune, pyschogenic (mental-neurological) causes, and drug reactions may also occur. Sometimes more than one factor may be contributing to the problem.

Here’s a list of the top ten itch-causing factors, as well as some suggestions on what you can do to help eliminate that irritating itch. Before your pet damages the skin, starts pulling out clumps of fur, or is forced to wear a cone-shaped (Elizabethan) collar, consider these common causes of itchiness in dogs and cats, and work with your veterinarian to get your pet some needed relief:

1. Nutrition

This doesn’t include food allergies; but diets containing lower-quality nutrients are at the root of many an itchy pet. We know that good nutrition is the foundation of health, and the corollary is also true: cheap ingredients (such as corn and by-products) make for expensive vet bills. Unfortunately, even vets tend to be poorly educated on nutrition, and often recommend grocery store or “prescription”-type diets. Be sure to read this article, “What You Need to Know About Your Pet’s Food“, become a label-reader, and choose only good-quality natural foods for your cat or dog. Also consider supplements, such as Omega-3 fatty acids, probiotics, and digestive enzymes, that will enhance your pet’s digestive and immune systems, and help avoid nutritional deficiencies that can cause so much misery.

2. Infection

Skin infection (pyoderma) is surprisingly common in pets. The major infectious culprits are ringworm (not actually a worm, but a fungus that is highly contagious to other pets as well as humans), Malassezia (yeast), and bacteria. Ringworm is especially common in kittens and cats, while yeast and bacterial infections are more typical in dogs. The ears are lined with skin, so itchy ears in both dogs and cats are an extension of the same types of infections. Your veterinarian will need to make the correct diagnosis in order to properly treat the infection.

However, one thing that vets don’t talk about much is why infection occurs. In holistic terms, infections are always secondary; the skin is unhealthy for some reason (often nutrition-related), and then invaders like bacteria, yeast, and fungus can get a foothold. Keeping the skin healthy via good nutrition (with wholesome meat proteins and plenty of essential fatty acids) is the best prevention. Please see our article, “Chronic Ear Infections,” for more details. Minor skin infections and hot spots may respond well to natural topical products offer by Only Natural Pet.

“We know that good nutrition is the foundation of health, and the corollary is also true: cheap ingredients (such as corn and by-products) make for expensive vet bills.”

3. Fleas

These nasty bugs deserve a special place in the itch-causing chronicles. Bites from fleas are itchy all by themselves, but many pets develop a specific allergy to flea bites. This is most commonly seen as hair loss or rash at the base of the spine and tail, not to mention that the dog or cat will constantly be chewing at the area. Flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) is an intensely itchy allergic reaction to flea saliva that can be triggered by a single flea bite! You may never see a flea or flea dirt on your pet (though daily flea-combing is never a bad idea!), and many people are quite confused as to how their flea-less pet can have such a severe reaction. If you live in an area where fleas are present (which includes most of the U.S. at least part of the year), always keep in mind that just one flea can cause intense itching for your pet that can last for weeks. There are prescription veterinary flea-prevention products available, but natural flea & tick control products are safer, and definitely worth a try before resorting to toxic pesticides. For more information, please read our article, “The Natural Approach to Flea Control.” Only Natural Pet also offers aids for flea & insect bites.

“Many pets develop a specific allergy to flea bites. This is most commonly seen as hair loss or rash at the base of the spine and tail, not to mention that the dog or cat will constantly be chewing at the area. “

4. Other Insects and Arachnids

Just like they often do in humans, mosquito bites can cause severe itching in sensitive pets, and in many areas of the country, can transmit heartworms, Lyme, and other diseases, so keep a natural insect repellent handy during bug season to help your pet stay bite-free.

Lice are an uncommon cause of itching in pets. Fortunately they are highly species-specific; a dog cannot get cat lice, and vice versa. Lice are visible to the naked eye, but don’t jump like fleas. Good hygiene, grooming, and clean bedding are usually enough to prevent lice infestations.

Ticks and mites are not insects, but members of the 8-legged arachnid family (along with spiders and scorpions). Ticks, while not usually itchy, can carry many diseases, and are well worth avoiding. Many flea repellents are also effective against ticks.

“Mosquito bites can cause severe itching in sensitive pets, and in many areas of the country, can transmit heartworms, Lyme, and other diseases, so keep a natural insect repellent handy during bug season to help your pet stay bite-free.”

There are half a dozen species of mites that can infest pets, from the highly contagious and severely itchy scabies (sarcoptic mange) to the mild-mannered demodex that inhabits normal skin, but in immune-compromised animals can cause itching and hair loss over the entire body. Mites are diagnosed through skin scrapings taken by your vet, although a negative sample may not guarantee there are no mites. Scabies in particular hides deep in the skin and is notoriously hard to find. If more than one animal in your home is itchy (including human animals), it may be smart to treat everyone for mites.

For more information, please read our article, “Ask the Vet: Natural Treatment for Demodectic Mange.”

5. Airborne Allergies (Atopy)

Many animals are allergic to the same things that cause human allergies (dust, grasses, pollen, etc.). While humans’ allergies tend to affect the upper respiratory system with sneezing and watery discharges, dogs’ and cats’ responses are more likely to involve dermatitis, or skin inflammation. While this is a major cause of pets’ itching, these allergies are tough to diagnose, and other causes usually need to be ruled out first. Blood and skin tests can sometimes be helpful for dogs; less so for cats. Like humans, pets can also be allergic to chemical irritants like pesticide residue and household cleaning products. Allergies can be difficult to control, and almost impossible to eliminate. However, hypoallergenic diets, allergy support products and essential fatty acid supplements can be helpful.

Dog Itching

6. Food Allergies

Food allergies are not quite as common as most people think, and they are actually more common in cats than dogs. Fortunately, food allergies can be resolved with diligent detective work, eliminating all common allergens from the diet (beef, chicken, eggs, corn, wheat, soy, and milk), then reintroducing one at a time to see which ones cause an allergic reaction. Strict avoidance of irritants can resolve most cases of pure food allergy. Grain-free and novel protein foods as well as raw food diets can do much to alleviate food-based allergies for many animal companions. Our articles, “All About Raw Food,” “Is Grain-Free Food Right for Your Companion?” and “The Role of Protein in Good Nutrition,” provide further details on this important topic.

“We recommend trying to find a holistic veterinarian who can guide you on natural flea control products.”

7. Genetic Factors & Breed Predisposition

Some breeds and lines of cats and dogs are more prone to sensitive skin, or are more likely to develop allergic itching due to skin folds and ear shapes. Siamese and Persian cats often have immune system issues; and many breeds of dogs are more prone to allergies that cause itching skin. Dogs with many skin folds, especially around the muzzle (Shar Peis, Boxers, Bulldogs, Pugs), floppy ears (Spaniels, Hounds, and Retrievers), or internally hairy ears (Poodles, Schnauzers), often become itchy from yeast or bacterial infections in those warm, moist environments. Temperament also plays a role; if yours is a sensitive breed, consider a holistic anxiety remedy to help ease your pet’s emotional reactivity.

8. Vaccine Reactions

Although not usually recognized by veterinarians, vaccine reactions can include dermatitis and itching. This occurs in both cats and dogs, and can result after just one vaccine. Please read our article, “Vaccination Basics,” for more details on this important health issue. The homeopathic remedy, Thuja can be helpful for pets that may have vaccine-related issues, particularly skin issues occurring after vaccination.

“Vaccine reactions can include dermatitis and itching. This occurs in both cats and dogs, and can result after just one vaccine.”

9. Glandular/Hormonal Imbalances

Several glandular imbalances can cause skin problems that contribute to itching in some pets. Glands within the skin itself can malfunction and cause skin itching, odor, and discharge. Systemic conditions related to major endocrine glands, such as the thyroid and adrenal glands, may also occur.

Hypothyroidism

(decreased thyroid function) occurs naturally in dogs, and rarely in cats, usually after treatment for overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism). There is some evidence to suggest that autoimmune hypothyroidism (about half of cases) may be related to vaccination. Hypothyroidism can cause the skin to become greasy, foul smelling, and in some cases itchy; the hair often becomes very thin and brittle, starting at the tail.

Cushing’s Disease

(hyperadrenocorticism) is a condition of adrenal gland over activity that may stem from an adrenal tumor, or from the pituitary gland. Skin problems are common in Cushing’s disease, including thin skin, hair loss, and sometimes itching. Endocrine diseases are serious problems that require veterinary treatment, so always have your pet examined when unusual skin issues or other symptoms arise. Our article, “Thyroid Disorders in Cats and Dogs,” provides additional information.

10. Detoxification

The skin is the largest organ of elimination. Many irritants, residues, and compounds can be excreted through the skin. This is part of why pets develop skin symptoms from allergies that, in people, cause respiratory discharges. A temporary bout of itchiness or rash, especially after a change in diet, or after holistic treatment such as homeopathy, it may be part of the healing process. This shouldn’t last long (usually 2-3 weeks), depending on your pet’s history and initial state of health. We carry an excellent homeopathic detoxification aid, Newton Homeopathics Detoxifier, which can help pets eliminate toxins as part of an overall health program. Of course, please work closely with your veterinarian during any detox process. Please see our articles, “Fifteen Steps to Detox Your Pet,” and “When Is It Time to See the Vet?” for more information.

While this “Top Ten” is not an exhaustive list, it will give you a place to start with the most common causes of itchy skin.

The Honest Kitchen Force Grain-Free Dehydrated Dog Food

The Honest Kitchen’s Force is a delicious grain-free offering for adult dogs with dog food allergy concerns or adult dogs who are intolerant of grains. Force is formulated with moderate proteinhigher fat and total calories, with a moderate level of carbohydrates. Great for sensitive dogs or those with moderate activity levels.

  • 4 lb. Box contains approximately 16 cups of food
  • 10 lb. Box contains approximately 40-43 cups of food

Honest Kitchen uses eco-friendly packaging! A fine, recyclable ‘minimalist’ and unprinted barrier bag that efficiently protects the food inside helps reduce materials usage and waste. The bag is enclosed in a 100% recycled box made from unbleached kraft paperboard. The box is printed with soy-based inks and the finished product is 100% biodegradable or recyclable again after use, too.

The Honest Kitchen makes wholesome, natural food for dogs using gentle dehydration, a unique new approach to canine nutrition. These foods help you create delicious and nutritious meals made with real, recognizable, and human-grade ingredients that are ready to prepare and serve at home. Simply add warm water to rehydrate, and you have a complete meal with USDA meat, fresh fruits and vegetables, organic flaxseed, herbs, vitamins and minerals.

The Honest Kitchen’s dehydrated food offers many of the benefits of a biologically appropriate raw pet food diet, combined with the convenience and peace of mind of a nutritionally balanced, ready-blended product. Dehydration simply removes the moisture, which prevents decomposition. As an ancient form of preserving food, virtually all of the nutrients are left intact. This is a much “fresher”, and therefore healthier, approach than the extrusion process that dry kibble undergoes. See below for a description of each formula.

All of Honest Kitchen’s dog food and dehydrated raw dog food products are formulated to meet the AAFCO nutrient profiles for dogs and you don’t have to add anything to make them ‘complete’. However, the original idea behind these diets was as a base for a raw or other fresh homemade diet and to facilitate that, they are somewhat ‘lite’ in terms of fat and protein, so that your own choice of raw, or cooked, meat can be added, if desired.

It is entirely a matter of personal choice (and your dog’s taste!) whether you add in extra meat and other ingredients, or not. Most people with younger and more active dogs like to mix in the additional meat, and those with senior or overweight animals usually prefer to feed the organic dog food alone. The Honest Kitchen supplies pet owners with the best in fresh dehydrated raw dog food and other organic dog food products.

About Dehydration

Dehydration or drying, is one of the oldest and gentlest methods of food preservation. Food dehydration works by removing only the water content from the ingredients. All other nutrients remain, and become highly concentrated. Dried foods are extremely nutritious, easy to prepare and store, and light weight to ship.

Because dehydration takes place at moderate temperatures, the ingredients are still considered raw. The only exceptions are the meat and egg ingredients, which are dehydrated at high enough temperatures to kill any bacteria present and are therefore essentially considered ‘cooked’. This is because they must be human-edible grade, to enter our manufacturing facility.

The removal of moisture prevents enzymatic activity, which can lead to browning and decomposition of foods, and also prevents the growth of bacteria, yeast and molds. Dehydration does not actually destroy or kill the food enzymes, as occurs in baking and freezing or high pressure processing such as extrusion. Enzyme activity in dehydrated foods is simply suspended, until the food is rehydrated.

A remarkable example of the way dehydration preserves without destroying, is in Africa, where scientists have discovered live fish being hatched from fish eggs, that have been dehydrated in the sun, during droughts that sometimes last for years. When the rains fall, the lakes and rivers refill with water to rehydrate the eggs – and live fish emerge. The eggs are actually preserved and remain viable throughout the natural dehydration that takes place.

Great Food!

My 3 dogs love this food. It’s the easiest way to prepare a raw diet. I also mix with can and kibble for variety. My dog’s stools are so much better on this food. Very digestible. Even my Cavalier, who has a sensitive stomach, does well on this food! I will keep buying this food!!!

~ Mumma from Anytown, USA

Best food out there…

I always fed premium foods but since trying this my dogs seem to do so much better. I have 5 special needs little dogs (I’m a rescue mom) and I feed them half Orijen dry food (the senior formula works best because it isn’t so rich as the others) and then I feed them half Force with every meal. Everyone is doing wonderful and I haven’t had any digestion problems at all since I put them on this food. It has helped all of them. I did try the other flavors of Honest Kitchen but this one is the best tolerated by all and they seem to like it more.

~ Renee the rescue mom from Phoenix, AZ

Dogs love this food…

I love this dehydrated dog food. It is much easier to use than raw dog food and much more nutritious.

My beagles love it!

My dogs eat a base diet of high-quality kibble, but I don’t want to feed them just that. I like adding fresh foods, and do give them veggies and meat. But this adds a little variety, and ease, to meal preparation. My dogs love, love, love this stuff.

~ CMD from Longmont, CO

Biggest Fan!!!!

I found this product at an Natural Products Expo. I am a clinical nutritionist and have a Scottie and a Westie that are prone to skin allergies especially my Scottie who is gluten intolerant. I have to admit I was very skeptical when I was given a sample of this product to try. I went home and made it for the dogs and thought for sure they were not going to like this food. Much to my surprise and delight they licked their bowls clean and then proceeded to look for any leftovers they might have spilled on the floor! They have been eating Honest Kitchen ever since and never get tired of it. I feel relieved that I can serve my dogs great nutrition in raw form without the expense and hassle of fixing it myself. Their groomer says that their coats are the best she has ever seen especially for terriers. I would highly recommend this product for your pets for superior nutrition and convenience!

Extremely happy…

After trying tons of different foods including home cooked and raw for our two year old german shepherd Falco, I decided to try Force. Falco had off and on bouts of digestion problems all the time, and I got tired of trying to figure out the cause. I often had to only feed him yogart and boiled chicken to stop it. We mixed up the Force with two tsp of “perfect form” supplement and for two weeks straight he had perfect stools!!! We now give him one raw chicken leg quarter in the AM and some cottage cheese or yogart and in the PM he gets the Force mixed with perfect form, flax or fish oil and some Wysong “Add Life” supplement sprinkled in. I mix his food in AM and add some warm water at night to soften it. They absorb more nutrients this way. I am in hopes that this summer we will not have to spend the whole season with him on antibiotics for itchy skin and hot spots. I will write another review then.

Great food, less cost!

Lots of gold stars for TOTW. We’re on our second bag since switching from Purina and my Pointer mix is looking healthier and has a shinier coat.

No More Food Allergies…

I had my Shiba Inu, Kobyashi tested for allergies. The results showed he is allergic to Rice, Flax, and Peas… seriously Peas? If you check out most brands of dog food, they contain one or more of these ingredients. I was baffled and could not find a food that suited Koby’s needs. Until I found Taste of the Wild. And the icing on the doggy biscuit is that he absolutely enjoys the food. Thanks for creating this product.

My sweet husky just loves this food!!!

My husky eats Taste of the Wild every day since she was a pup. Her health, weight, coat and eyes are perfect… I couldn’t ask for a better food for her. Plus, she loves the taste…

~ Husky Mom from Berkshire County, MA

Best of the Best!

This is hands down the best dog food out there! My Malchi was a picky eater until I bought TOTW which was recommended by a family friend. She absolutely LOVES it and I love that I’m feeding her something natural and nutritious. Those who complain that it’s expensive, try going to your local feed store. I picked up a 30lb bag for [$]! That’s a bargain, cheaper than most mid-grade dog food full of grains and fillers that you’d pick up at a chain pet store. Plus without the fillers, she eats a lot less (we leave food out all day for her- and yes, she’s a very healthy weight). Try TOTW. You won’t be disappointed. They come in 5lb bags also 🙂

Food For Life…

Amazing food. Was feeding another kind of grain free food to my Blue Heeler/Australian Shepherd mix puppy before and once I made the switch I noticed a big improvement in his skin and coat and his stool consistency. This seems to be a healthier food that has really made a difference in my puppies life. He LOVES the High Prairie formula too. This is a fantastic food that doesnt break the bank like other grain free foods do. I will be feeding Taste Of The Wild for life.

Great for Moms and Puppies!

TOTW was recommended to me for the pregnant rescue pit mix I am fostering. When I got the mamma she was thin and sickly. After a month on the High Prairie Puppy her weight was good, coat was shiny and thick, and she delivered a litter of 12 pups, one still born. The mother produced ample milk to feed this huge litter and the remaining 11 are now eating TOTW too and all thriving, even the three tiny ones. They are smart, active, gaining weight consistently, and have beautiful coats!

My Dogs Will Live Longer!

We thought we were going to lose our old Rottie and my older standard poodle had a hard time getting around. Both had trouble digesting the grocery store stuff. We switched to Taste of the Wild — any flavor — and they are like new dogs! They are much more active, they run, have better coats and do not throw up. I am convinced this TOTW is prolonging the lives of our dogs, my best friends!

Best dog I’ve found so far!

I have a 9 month old German Shepherd/Husky puppy and I was feeding her a natural, but “grainy” food. She was throwing up once a day and I couldn’t figure out the reason. I decided it may be because of an allergy and after doing research online I found out that dogs really don’t need grains at all. I switched to a grain free food to see if there was a difference and it’s the best choice I’ve ever made for my dog. She hasn’t thrown up once since eating this food and her coat is so shiny now. I will continue to buy this food at long as they make it.

Testimonials…

Perfect for my Border Collie

My Border Collie (see picture below) is 10 months old and the pickiest eater I’ve ever had. I tried 11 (eleven!!) highly-recommended brands of treats and training treats and she disdainfully spits every single one out. I have not seen any excited reaction to: Wellness, Taste of the Wild, Blue Buffalo, Acana, Canidae, Fromm, Sojos freeze dried, Earthborn Holistic. While she used to love the old beef recipe of Natural Balance Dog Food Rolls, since they’ve tweaked it she won’t respond.

Enter Primal Raw

For the first time in her life, she eagerly ate the whole bowl and licked it clean. She’s at a healthy weight but appears to others to be too skinny. Primal has given me the peace of mind not to worry if she misses a meal or two any more (and she doesn’t). I am far more stringent about what she eats than my own rather neglected diet so of course I did the research before offering one nugget; I hope Primal keeps doing exactly what they do.

I feed three nuggets mashed into a cup of high quality dry food in the morning, and two nuggets at night. At first I purchased the freeze-dried but quickly switched to the frozen; she likes them better and they’re a bit cheaper and less-messy to prepare.

Best commercial raw out there!

I have been doing research on raw food for the past year one and I think I have finally found a winner! I love Primal Pet Food and their treats too. Well, I don’t like the taste (not that I’ve tried it because I haven’t), but Bella sure does! I’ve tried the best dry foods, dehydrated foods, and raw brands out there. Let me tell you Primal is the best from my experience. If they say it’s duck it’s duck! Not a cheaper raw meat like turkey or lamb added… it’s just duck with added veggies, fruits and vitamins and minerals. I’ve never fed Bella (see picture below) any foods with grains or by-products or any of that garbage for as long as I’ve had Bella. I’ve had her since she was a pup and she’s a year now. Bella LOVES duck, especially in her raw diet, so I gave Primal raw duck a try. I’ve gotten brands like Stella and Chewy’s but they don’t hold anything against this. We take Bella hiking very often, and she gets 30 minutes of training everyday. She can do some great tricks like ride a scooter and skateboard. This stuff keeps her going! It’s a win-win for Bella and her whole body! I definitely suggest trying Primal out!!!

A Gift From Heaven…

This dog food is a gift from heaven let me tell you! My little guy, Dekker (black pug, see picture below) is allergic to just about everything including humans. This is the only food he can eat as he is now allergic to chicken, beef, fish, rabbit, peas, corn, gluten, wheat, and on an on. He has his eating time memorized and is excitedly awaiting his food. I would highly recommend you add the probiotics with this food if you choose to go the raw diet route. His coat is shiny, and beautiful, and he is a lean, mean machine. In addition, his allergies are under control for the first time in SIX years. Thank you so much for this food. We are now trying the Venison after Dekker being on the Duck nuggets for the past year! The only down side is that travel is very challenging with this food. It’s raw so you have to plan ahead. Other than that, this food is a 5 out of 5!

Wonderful Food!

This is the best commercially prepared food that you can feed your pet, in my experience. Since I’ve started feeding this raw food, my dog (see picture below) has become a different animal. He is now so vibrant and healthy, and full of energy. I make sure to buy 2 or 3 different protein sources of this food at a time and rotate every meal. That way my dog won’t become allergic to a certain protein. I learned that trick from a wonderful holistic vet. I like this particular raw food best because it’s not pasturized and because it doesn’t use synthetic vitamins… it’s whole food based. This is definitely top of the line and I will be feeding my dogs this food as long as I live.

The best out there and I highly recommend…

Primal is the way to go. I don’t think I have enough positive words to describe the overall benefits of this product. I have 3 rambunctious boxers, ages 8yrs, 5 yrs, & 7 months (see picture below). They all started on dry when I got them, and due to various circumstances got me into looking at raw food. I used to prepare and buy in bulk all of their meals (from grinding veggies, adding supplements, prepping whole raw chicken) but that took so much time with 3 dogs. When I heard of Primal, I did a lot of research and found this was the perfect answer to convenience & nutrition. Yes, it is pricey for 3 dogs that go through 3-4 bags in a full week, but it’s definitely worth it. They have great health, skin, coat, eyes and have thrived on eating raw. I switch with lamb, turkey/sardine, pheasant, beef, chicken. They love them all!
