So many cuties to choose from at our shelter right now, but we’ll go with one year old Gale for today’s email. He is a super friendly, sweet, playful guy, but a little on the scared side. He is looking for a new family to show him love and attention, and to play and do lots of fun things with, so that the rest of his life is what it should be. Submitted by the Humane Society of Morgan County Georgia.
Congratulations to Gale on finding his new family 🙂 These are best friends for life right here…
This is Ivy, the most adorable little cuddle bug ever! She is a super sweet little girl who is looking for her forever family to love. Submitted by the Humane Society of Morgan County Georgia.
When you are so cute you must be from another planet… then you must be Mork, the adorable three year old Yorkie mix. Yorkies are known for being small in size but big in personality. They are feisty and sometimes have their own opinions, but they are loving and loyal companions. Submitted by the Humane Society of Morgan County Georgia.
What do you get when you cross a low riding basset hound with a scruffy terrier? Me… DeVito! I’m smart, chill and have perfect scruff. I’m about three-and-a-half years old, and I really like kids, dog toys and belly rubs. Read the updates below about Bentley (DeVito’s new name) and his new family. Submitted by the Humane Society of Morgan County Georgia.
This was DeVito’s second time on DogPerDay. He has been up for adoption at the shelter too long! Here are some more pictures of him from last December…
As of July 26th, 2017 DeVito is still at the shelter waiting for his people. This is a shame because DeVito is as sweet as they get.
DeVito was featured on the local CBS affiliate down in Georgia… Hopefully this will help get him adopted!
Watch Atlanta Plugged In at 12:30pm to meet our new friend from the Humane Society of Morgan County.
Update: DeVito is now Bentley, and was adopted on July 29th, 2017 by Donna and Ted… see them pictured below along with Bentley’s new Yorkie sister. Read below what Donna and Ted say about their new little guy. Congratulations to Bentley on finding his new family 🙂
Donna writes: Ted and I adopted DeVito today on 7-29-1017! We did not see these pictures until after we brought him home — we did not realize that he was a movie star baby doggie! Today has been one of the best days ever for us — we worship DeVito and he is so very, very precious to us — and today has been a great day for him also! Mom has given him a million kisses and he is now sleeping in a big king sized bed between his new daddy and me (mom). I made him homemade roast beef and fresh carrots and peas for dinner. He has had a great day and we will continue to love him each and everyday for the rest of our three lives! He now has a permanent home for the rest of his sweet life. He is so sweet and loving and the staff at the Morgan County Humane Society has taken very, very good care of him — we are grateful to them! He is our love bug! We have renamed him and we now call him Bentley. Our dog of fifteen years died five weeks ago and Bentley has brought new joy to our household. We have been so sad without Beau — he was our everything! We loved him so very, very much! We miss our Baby Beau boy, but already love Bentley in a huge way. Bentley walked into the house and within minutes was playing with his new talking dog toys and doggie bones and giving mom lots of doggie kisses. You would have thought that he had been living here for years and years. Bentley is curled up beside me, Ted and his new little Yorkie sister. So good night and sweet dreams to all! And once again, thank you to everyone at the Humane Society in Morgan County!
Ted writes: We adopted him today: 7/29/2017! He had been in the Humane Society Morgan County since at least 11/29/2016. We are the proud new parents of this precious little doggie boy! He has been in his new home for just a few hours and loves his new mom and daddy and we love him so very, very much, too! He is wagging his tail and giving us lots of doggie kisses, and is lying on the bed beside his daddy. He instantly fell in love with us and we with him! He is the perfect dog for us, and is well trained and full of love, love, love! He loves living indoors in our house and sleeping on the king sized bed with us. He has not left our side except to play with his new talking dog toys and doggie bones that we have given to him. The staff at the Humane Society are excellent and have given Bentley lots of loving attention (we changed his name from DeVito to Bentley) and the Humane Society staff have taken very, very good care of him until we brought him home with us today. Bentley is loved and cherished! Thank you everyone at the Humane Society in Morgan County! All of you are the best!
Hello! I’m Hansel. My sister, Gretel (pictured below) and I tried to leave a trail of breadcrumbs, but we still got lost and animal control picked us up. The Humane Society saved us! They nursed me through parvo and I’m healthy again. Now we are all ready to find homes of our very own. We are typical happy bouncy loving puppies. The Humane Society thinks we will both be around 30 pounds when we are fully grown. Submitted by the Humane Society of Morgan County Georgia.

Update! Way to go Gretel on finding your forever family 🙂
Harry is a sweet, friendly, and very playful four month old puppy who is looking for his forever family to love me and play with him. He is a very happy little guy, not to mention handsome. Submitted by the Humane Society of Morgan County Georgia.
Quiznos is a smart, funny, adorable, and beautiful. She learned how to sit during her five-minute photo shoot. The German Shepherd and Siberian Husky mix is better known as a Gerberian Shepsky. They are tremendously alert, loyal and protective of their loved ones. They are also highly active and energetic, which means that Quiznos would like a family that wants her as a constant companion on all of their adventures. Submitted by the Humane Society of Morgan County Georgia.
Congratulations to Quiznos on finding your new family! Have a happy life…
Lady Bird is a very sweet two year old, brindle-colored girl who loves to be close to people. If you sit down she will wiggle her head into your lap and lay there forever if you’ll pet her velvet ears. She is a little shy here at our shelter, but we think she will settle right in once she is home. Submitted by the Humane Society of Morgan County Georgia.
Update: Congratulations to Lady Bird on finding your new family! 🙂
Shiloh (pictured above) is about ten days old and was rescued along with her five siblings: two brothers (Maddox and Knox) and three sisters (Pax, Zahara and Vivienne), along with their Mom, Jolie. They are all too sweet for words! Submitted by the Humane Society of Morgan County Georgia.
Update: All but one has found their new forever homes. You can view below the all the photos of these sweet puppies with their new families. The only one left to be adopted is Knox.
